CT State Northwestern to Host Touch-A-Truck Event
The HEART Club at CT State Northwestern will host a Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Arts and Science Building parking lot, 209 Holabird Avenue, Winsted. Parking for attendees will be located at Greenwoods Hall, 119 North Main Street. Vehicles available on-site will include fire engines, police cars, plow trucks, motorcycles, quads and more. A sensory-friendly half hour, free of horns, sirens, and lights will be from 11:30-12:00. Refreshments will be available.
The event is free and open to the public, although donations of non-perishable food items for the Food for Thought CT State Northwestern student food pantry will be accepted, as well as donations to the Heart Club. Heart stands for Helping, Educating, Advocating, Reaching and Transforming. The campus club works to promote children, families and individuals in the community.
