May 15, 2026 - News Release

CT State Housatonic will host an Open House on April 15, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., offering prospective students and their families an opportunity to learn about academic programs, financial aid, admissions and student life.

Visitors will have the chance to tour the downtown Bridgeport campus, meet faculty and staff, and explore the college’s associate degree and certificate programs designed to support career preparation and transfer opportunities.

The event will also provide information about Connecticut’s free tuition program, financial aid options and admissions requirements, helping students understand the steps needed to begin their college journey.

Registration is required. To register and view additional details — including building location, parking information and event updates — visit ctstate.edu/openhouse.

Many CT State Housatonic programs offer seamless transfer pathways to the four Connecticut state universities and Charter Oak State College, providing an affordable route for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Credits may also transfer to other public and private colleges throughout Connecticut and across the United States.

Registration for upcoming academic terms will also be discussed during the event. Accelerated summer sessions begin May 22, May 29 and July 6, while the fall credit semester begins Aug. 27.

Financial aid and payment plans are available for eligible full- and part-time students, and qualifying students may use veterans benefits. New students can begin the enrollment process by completing the free online application at ctstate.edu/apply and are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov.
