CT State Tunxis Expands Workforce Training Opportunities in Bristol
Connecticut State Community College (CT State) Tunxis was joined today by college and local officials to celebrate the expansion of workforce training and professional development opportunities at its Bristol location at 430 North Main Street.
The facility will serve employers and the community throughout the greater Bristol region with classes focused on leadership, project management, customer service, strategic planning, and other high-demand workforce skills. Current offerings include Leading Teams for Results, Managing and Leading for Results, Project Management Essentials and Customer Service Essentials, among others.
"CT State Tunxis' Bristol location strengthens our ability to serve residents and employers throughout the region," said CT State Tunxis Campus President Sharale Mathis, Ed.D. "The expanded programming creates greater access to workforce training and professional development opportunities while positioning us to build new partnerships that support regional workforce needs, including those in healthcare and other high-demand fields."

The Bristol location includes four classrooms, a computer lab, conference space, offices and administrative workspace recently updated to support expanded programming. In addition to workforce training programs, an advisor is available one day each week to assist prospective and current students with academic advising, registration, financial aid and other enrollment support.
