Professor Receives Beacon Award

Biology professor Patrick Bryan volunteers each year for the town of Chester and the Chester Elementary PTO, designing and building sets for numerous community musicals, including Matilda, Mary Poppins, Moana, Fame and Pirates of Penzance. In recognition of this volunteer work for the school, town and community musical programs, he received a Shoreline Beacon Award, presented October 14, which honors outstanding individuals who selflessly strengthen the community as a place of opportunity, wellbeing and safety for all.
