Middletown native Tyler Eckstrom discovered his direction at Middlesex, where he earned two associate degrees and found mentors who set him on a strong academic path. After completing his bachelor’s degree at Central, a local environmental issue pulled him into civic work. His advocacy for Pameacha Pond led to a seat on the Middletown Planning and Zoning Commission, where he now serves as vice chair.
Eckstrom also founded the nonprofit Save Pameacha Pond and remains active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Second Company Governor’s Footguard. He credits Middlesex for giving him confidence and community.
