CT State Northwestern Offers Small Business Seminar: Burnout Recovery Lab

November 25, 2025 - Susan Stiller - News Release
Campus: Northwestern

The Entrepreneurial Center at Connecticut State Community College (CT State) Northwestern is excited to announce its next Small Business Seminar, Burnout Recovery Lab, on Wednesday, December 10, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Market Street Creatives, 100 Lawton Street, Torrington. The seminar is free and open to local entrepreneurs and small business owners.

This workshop focuses on protecting mental health during the high-pressure holiday season. Participants will learn practical immediate strategies to identify energy drains, reclaim focus, set healthy boundaries, reprioritize goals, and find peace amid the chaos so they can finish the year strong. How to spot burnout early on, reset during peak stress, maintain clarity under pressure, and build resilience that lasts beyond the holidays will be covered.

The seminar will be taught by Jackie Ross, a human resource veteran with a background in behavioral and mental health who has combined her love of people and coaching to serve as a career and mental health fitness coach.

This event is sponsored by Torrington Savings Bank and supported by Market Street Creatives, the Northwest CT Chamber of Commerce, and SCORE. A light dinner will be provided.
