CT State Housatonic to Host Regional Public Safety Fair on November 10
Connecticut State Community College (CT State) Housatonic will host its annual Regional Public Safety Fair on Monday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Beacon Hall Event Center, located at 900 Lafayette Boulevard, Bridgeport.
The event, the largest hosted by CT State Housatonic’s criminal justice program each year, brings together representatives from local, state, and federal law enforcement and public safety agencies for an interactive, community-centered experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore career pathways, gain insight into the application and hiring processes, and connect directly with professionals serving across the public safety spectrum.
“This event reflects our deep commitment to preparing students for meaningful service careers and to fostering strong partnerships between education and public agencies,” said Samantha Mannion, CT State Housatonic professor of criminal justice. “It’s not only a networking opportunity—it’s a gateway to understanding the real-world impact and diverse opportunities within the public safety field.”
In addition to agency participation, representatives from regional colleges and universities will be present to discuss degree programs, transfer options, and admissions requirements, providing attendees with a broader understanding of academic pathways in criminal justice and related disciplines.
The Regional Public Safety Fair is free and open to the public, welcoming students, job seekers, and community members interested in learning more about public safety careers and education.
