CT State students spent a week at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Lab in Long Island researching topics in nuclear physics, artificial intelligence, national security and more. A cohort of students from Gateway, Housatonic and Norwalk represented CT State well as they were immersed in the world of STEM.
This transformational experience took place the second week of June and was made possible by the contributions of a CT State team from the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) grant, led by Principal Investigator Rachel Cain. Due to federal changes with grant funding, it was paid for by CT State. Many thanks to Dr. Maduko and his cabinet for supporting student access to high-quality education and training.
